The Central Florida Intergroup Service Committee is actively seeking a Public Relations Chair.
This important position is responsible for the following:
- Organize local committees on Public Information (P.I.), Cooperation With the Professional Community (C.P.C.) and Accessibilities in cooperation with district and area P.I., C.P.C. and Accessibilities committees.
- Organize a correctional and treatment facility committee to maintain contact with local groups in correctional facilities and treatment facilities, offering literature and prerelease A.A. contacts, and arranging for A.A. speakers and visitors to meetings. When these services are under the auspices of a General Service Committee, assist it through close cooperation with local hospitals and prisons.
This service opportunity is considered a Member-at-Large position by the Central Florida Intergroup bylaws and ideally is given a two-year commitment.
